On March 4th, VI·II·VI officially launched their Fall/Winter 2017 Collection, Cocaine. The sixteen-piece collection premiered at a private event in Washington DC, and was hosted by the designer himself - Dominique Thomas. Over 100 guest were in attendance for this fashion show, all of which left talking about Cocaine. The collection was first shown at DC Fashion Week's Emerging Designer Showcase on Feb. 25th, in which spectators got a first look at the collection before its official release a week later.
Cocaine was inspired by a song and the designer's desire with fur. Designer Dominique Thomas wanted the collection to primarily be white, accented with winter colors (steel grey & navy blue) and was able to achieve this within Cocaine. Four types of faux fur were used in this collection and include Chinchilla, Wolverine, Monkey and Shag. The collection takes on a more urban feel, while still incorporating chic and cocktail pieces along with one evening gown.
